Los Santos, which was formerly recognized as PXXR GVNG, emerged in 2013 in Barcelona with members Yung Beef, Kaydy Cain, Khaled, and producer Steve Lean. The group initially served as a parody of the American Rich Gang but underwent a name change in 2017 after Lean departed. They became influential in Spain's trap music landscape with tracks like "Million Euros Leggins," which fused genres such as drill and vaporwave. Their innovative approach challenged the conventions of Spanish rap, marked by the use of Auto-Tune and vibrant performances. Following a brief setback due to a YouTube ban, they achieved global recognition, collaborating with artists including Waka Flocka Flame. The launch of their debut album, Los Pobres, in 2016 was a significant achievement, showcasing their daring lyrics. Despite some internal tensions, they have hinted at a reunion since 2019, culminating in the release of “Intro (No Hay Futuro Sin Pasado)” in 2024. The future of the group remains uncertain, as members are actively pursuing individual careers while advocating for a return to collective efforts.
