This theatrical interpretation adapted from Belgian author Marguerite Yourcenar entitled Mémoires d'Hadrien centers on the fictional autobiography of one of Rome's greatest Emperors. This adaptation from Mario Scapparo presents Hadrian in the first-person as he chronicles his life from his deathbed. The scenes bounce from his encounters with Trajan, military life, his time in Egypt as well as that eponymous wall in England.
