About
The SFJAZZ Collective is an eight-piece jazz ensemble that was formed by the non-profit jazz institution SFJAZZ. The group offers a new repertoire each year, breathing new life into great modern jazz composers from the post 1960s era as well as eight brand new compositions, one from each member. Between tours, the group meets in San Francisco for a three-week residency each spring, during which they rehearse the new season's compositions and also interacts with the Bay Area jazz community through youth programs and educational workshops for adults.
