About
The Austin Spurs as their name implies are a D-League team affiliated with the club from San Antonio. The team initially began as the Columbus Riverdragons, but then moved to Austin in 2005 with the new name ‘Austin Toros’. This was short lived as the San Antonio Spurs acquired them as an affiliate in 2007 and changed the name accordingly. As the Spurs, the team won the Southwestern Division in 2014, but lost in the semis to the Santa Cruz Warriors (2-1). The squad takes the floor at the Cedar Park Center which holds about 7,200 basketball fans.
