Deja Monét Trimble, who is widely known by her stage name Dej Loaf, is an American rapper and singer from Detroit, Michigan. She was born on April 8, 1991, and gained significant fame in 2014 with her hit single "Try Me." This success led to a substantial record deal with Columbia Records, under which she released her debut EP, ...And See That's the Thing (2015), featuring popular tracks like "Back Up" with Big Sean, which received platinum certification. In 2015, Dej Loaf was recognized as part of XXL’s Freshman Class and had the opportunity to open for Nicki Minaj on her Pinkprint Tour. After parting ways with Columbia Records, she launched her debut album, Sell Sole II (2020), which includes collaborations with artists such as Big Sean, Lil Uzi Vert, and Rick Ross. Her unique combination of rap and R&B has earned her acclaim for its introspective and modest nature, making her a notable presence in the modern hip hop scene.
