Johnathan Rice recorded his first EP Heart and Mind at the age of 18. His debut album Trouble is Real showcases the deep scars that the 9/11 attacks left behind on the American as well as the artist's own psyche. He has worked very closely with renowned artists such as Jenny Lewis, Elvis Costello, Jonathan Wilson and Maria Taylor. Rice has also contributed towards the soundtracks of Hollywood motion pictures named Song One and Walk the Line.
