The Academy Is... is an American rock band that gained significant recognition in the mid-2000s. Their musical style, which draws from pop-punk and emo influences, was first showcased in their debut album, "Almost Here," released in 2005. This album received widespread critical praise and was succeeded by their second album, "Santi," in 2007. The band became well-known for their vibrant live performances and memorable melodies, quickly amassing a dedicated fanbase. Their third album, "Fast Times at Barrington High," presented a more refined and pop-centric sound, further enhancing the band's attractiveness. After a short hiatus in 2011, The Academy Is... reunited in 2015 for a series of performances and released a single titled "Chicago" to honor their hometown.
