Didier Lockwood is a French violinist who is known for his use of electric amplification systems and effects as well as his pioneering use of the electric violin. Initially emerging with the jazz fusion group Magma in the mid-1970s, Lockwood would go on to release his debut album as a leader in 1979 with New World.
