Nick Rivera Caminero is a singer/songwriter who crafts reggaeton music under the name Nicky Jam. Projecting dancehall and classic reggae strands through a modern filter, he made his debut at age 11 with the 1994 album, Distinto A Los Demas. Though the album didn't earn much acclaim, it did capture the attention of industry professionals who helped forge his career. He rose to fame in 2001 with his sophomore album, Haciendo Escante. Nicky Jam has since continued to produce dancehall hits in his home country.
