Formerly known as JJAMZ (Acronym using the first letter of each member's name), the name has been changed to Phases, prior James Valentine's departure. Formed in 2009, the Electro pop group, from Los Angeles, is composed of Jason Boesel (Rilo Kiley/ Bright Eyes), Alex Greenwald (Phantom Planet), Z Berg (The Like) and Michael Runion, the songwriter. In May 12, 2015 the band signed to Warner Bros and the same year award-winning film director Ethan Tobman, directed the video clip "I'm In Love With My Life".
