Born in the UK and based in New York City, Robert Leslie is a modern folk artist who pulls from the stripped-down aesthetic of decades past. Taking themes of love, travel and distance and weaving them throughout a twangy acoustic guitar foundation, he's captured the hearts of a widespread audience with his debut EP, So Long!, which was released in 2011. Leslie dropped his first full-length album, A Shard of the Mosaic, in 2014. Written over the course of a year after he relocated from his home to New York, the album chronicles the loneliness and wonder he found in the city.
