Sarah Tolar was raised by folk singers. Her father had an affinity for singing Kris Kristofferson tunes while her mother like singing songs by Judy Collins. Constantly being surrounded by music as a youngster undoubtedly left a strong impression on Tolar. Now living in New York City, Tolar frequently performs and has an arsenal of material that straddles the genre gamut from folk and jazz to rock and country.
