Walker Adams first musical inspiration was the ambient sound of nature. Growing up in rural Vermont, Adams' time in the forests and rolling hills of The Green Mountain State influenced the sounds, timing and songwriting approach he'd later employ as a musician. Picking up drums as a youngster, Adams would eventually study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he'd meet and play with Annie Clark of St. Vincent and Mark Kelley of The Roots. After graduation, he'd go on to serve as drummer with a number of collaborators including bassist Percy Jackson and St. Vincent. Having since struck out on his own, Adams solo material explores various improvisational themes with a defined jazz fusion leaning.
