After making a name for himself as a member of the Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas broke out of the Disney shell and reinvented himself as a solo artist. Though he had already released an eponymous solo effort under the name Nicholas Jonas back in 2005, he came into his own with his 2014 effort, titled Nick Jonas. Debuting a tougher but smooth contemporary R&B sound, he successfully did what most child stars fail to do -- he made a full transition out the Disney pigeonhole with both his music and acting career in tact.
