Elvis Perkins is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who honed an urban folk rock style while growing up between Los Angeles and New York City. He first captured his distinctive sound on the 2007 album,Ash Wednesday, which he promoted on tour with his band Elvis Perkins in Dearland. Perkins released an eponymous debut album with the band in 2009.
