Sistas: The Musical

Sistas is a musical theater production that's powered by the music of Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, Ma Rainey, Beyonce and many more prominent African American artists. A portrait of the black American female experience, the show follows the triumphs and struggles of one woman and her family, as they navigate the days of Jim Crow segregation laws to the present day, when racism is underlying but still very much built in to social, economic and political systems.
