About
FC Lahti came into being when two clubs FC Kuusysi and Reipas Lahti merged in 1996. The club played its first season in 1997 in the Ykkönen league and were promoted to Veikkausliiga for its second season. The club played in the top finnish league until it was relegated back to Ykkönen in 2010. Lahti has won the Finnish League Club multiple times.
