About

The story of FC Honka's growth as a football club is a fairytale in its own right. Since it was established in 1957, the club spent a major part of its time battling it out in the lower divisions of the Finnish league system. However an extended good run of form led to the team being promoted to the Veikkausliiga (the Finnish top tier football league) in 2005, for the first time in its history. Since then the cub has gone on to raise the bar even further. Bagging the runners up spot on more than one occassion and laying its claim to the coveted UEFA Champions League spot.
