Thomas Middleditch is an actor and stand-up comedian who rose to attention in the lead role of the 2009 film Splinterheads. After honing his sketch comedy skills on the web series Jake and Amir, appearing in feature films such as The Campaign, and even making a cameo in Martin Scorsese's Wolf of Wall Street, he landed the starring role of Richard Hendriks on the HBO series Silicon Valley. The show, which captures the San Francisco Bay Area's massive start-up tech bubble of the 2010's in a dark comedy package, premiered in 2014 and immediately earned widespread acclaim.
