Gizmos

Initially formed in 1976, Gizmos is a protopunk band that emerged out of Bloomington, IN. After releasing three EPs on Glutcher Records in as many years, the band broke up in 1978 when its members dispersed into various other garage punk projects. Though a later version of Gizmos toured under the name during the early 2010s, the original lineup, led by Ted Niemiec and completed by Kenne Highland, Eddie Flowers, and Rich Coffee, came together in 2014 for a world tour. Recruiting drummer Kelsey Simpson and bassist Craig Bell to deepen the roster, Gizmos played to legions of punk fans at various festivals that year.
