John Darnielle is a musician and writer from Bloomington, IN. Equally known for his journalistic continuations to Decibel Magazine as he is for his work as a songwriter, he has submerged himself in the world of music and played with various bands including The Extra Lens, the Bloody Hawaiians and The Congress. In addition to his own warm, indie folk solo material, he also releases music with his long-time project the Mountain Goats.
