Großstadt Freunde

As the name implied, Großstadt Freunde ("big city friends" in English) is the name of a German band comprised of five friends who found each other in Berlin. The members of Großstadt Freunde are Jay Khan as lead singer, Steffen Scholz on keyboard, Richard Müller on bass, Maximilian Bahr on guitar and Jan Trojanowski on drums. The lyrics of their songs often describe personal childhood stories and day-to-day life; their debut single "Karussell"reached the Top 10 German Radio charts. For the music video, they decided to cover their faces so as to emphasize the importance of the music. The decision established the band's reputation for being down-to-earth and humble. Named one of the best up-and-coming bands of  2012/2013, Großstadt Freunde released their debut album Wir Sind Hier, in 2014.
