While the indie pop outfit The Courtneys hails from Vancouver, the three-piece band evokes the sun-soaked spirit of the California coast. Borrowing elements of early 1990s pop and blending it with a slacker punk mentality, the band delivers a lo-fi sound packed with hooks and breezy guitar riffs. The Courtneys first captured its Canadian West Coast tunes on an eponymous debut album during the summer of 2013.
