Liga Deportiva Alajuelense is a football team that competes in the Liga FPD, which is the top-tier competition in Costa Rica. It plays its home games at the Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto. Founded in 1919, it has spent a major part of its history playing in the Liga FPD. It holds the record for the most number of league titles and has also won several Costa Rican Cups and Costa Rican Short Championships.
