Slime is a German punk rock band that was founded in 1979. Adopting a staunchly political ideology during its early years, the group filled its lyrics with themes about police brutality, war atrocities and political corruption. Though Slime disbanded in 1994, in 2010 the group reformed to play some concerts for its 30th anniversary. The string of shows managed to reignite the band's passion, which resulted in Slime recording a comeback album, 2012's People Like You.
