The Repercussions is a rocksteady punk rock outfit that emerged in 1999 at the tail end of the third wave of ska when ska punk was at the peak of its commercial success. Paving the way for the wave of reggae-influenced punk bands that followed, the group blended a dance-inducing, high-energy sonic aesthetic with angsty, socially conscious lyrics.
