Erick Eerdhuizen, or Erick E, is a Dutch electronic music DJ and producer. With over 25 years in the field, Erick Eerdhuizen has been around since day one of the international EDM explosion. Starting off as resident DJ in a local club, spinning mainly hip-hop music, Erick E fell in love with the up-and-coming house genre after winning The Dutch DMC Championships, a mixing and scratching competition. On the forefront of Dutch house music, Erick E made considerable contributions to the genre as people know it. The DJ's breakthrough hit was a remix of Pancake's "Don't Turn Your Back," a track that earned him a residency spot at one of Amsterdam's most famous clubs. In the years that followed he charted "The Beat Is Rockin" in 2006 and focused on the planning of nationwide music events such as HouseQuaks and Sneakerz. He created of his own label Smaakstof in 2011, a feat that drew him back to the music studio.
