The band French for Rabbits comprise the singer/songwriter Brooke Singer and the jazz guitarist John Fitzgerald. The New Zealand indie folk duo was formed in 2011 after both members graduated from university. With lyrical themes of longing and regret, French for Rabbits released their debut album Claimed by the Sea, with the Wellington-based label Home Alone Music in 2012.
