Club Uníon Española is a Chilean football club representing the commune of Independencia, Santiago. One of the oldest clubs in the country, it was established in 1897 and has competed at the highest level of the sport in the country in all but a couple of seasons. The club has been highly successful throughout its existence and has amassed numerous laurels such as multiple Primera División de Chile and Primera B titles, and Copa Chile, Copa Invierno, Campeonato de Apertura, Supercopa de Chile and Liguilla Pre-Libertadores wins. It has been based at the Estadio Santa Laura since 1922.
