After self-releasing her debut album Director's Notes, in 2012, Emily Wolfe captured an audience with her infectious blend of indie pop and folk music. Based in Austin, she teamed up with iconic producer Mike McCarthy to release her heavier, more seasoned follow-up record, the 2013 Mechanical Hands EP, which highlights her gentle, slightly raspy voice over the rock and roll compositions of her now solid backing band.
