About
The Chicago, IL based married couple Laura Mariposa and Eric Bessel are the alternative rock duo, Lore City. The duo started 2011 in Brooklyn, NY, but moved out of the city one year later. Two months after they moved, Lore City recorded their debut album Absence & Time in a converted church studio. The Album was released in 2013 by the label Already Dead Tapes. After they got married both artists relocated to Chicago and honed their live performances. In 2014 it released it's second album Kill Your Dreams, which was mixed by Rick Riggs at Handwritten Recording and mastered by Carl Saff.
