American Football is an alternative rock band from Champaign-Urbana, Illinois that was founded in 1997. Becoming one of the premier emo bands of its generation, the group would release its self-titled debut album in 1999 before breaking up in 2000. The group reformed, however, in 2014 and has since remained busy with an active performance schedule.
