The Calgary Stampeders are a professional Canadian football team and compete in the Western Division of the Canadian Football League. Founded in 1935 as the Calgary Bronks, the franchise became the Stampeders in 1945. Also known as the Stamps, or as the Horsemen, the team has been home to several successful National Football League players. Both Doug Flutie and Jeff Garcia donned the Stampeders uniform in their careers. The Stampeders' main rival is the Edmonton Eskimos.
