The BC Lions is a Canadian football team based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada that plays in the Western Division of the Canadian Football League. Founded in 1954, the team played its home games at Empire Stadium in East Vancouver from 1954 until 1984--when the club moved to BC Place. Though the team won its first Grey Cup in 1964, it became the first team in the Western Division to ever win the cup in its home stadium when it took the title in 1994.
