Kristy Lee Cook is a country pop singer who first earned attention on season seven of American Idol. After releasing her debut album, Devoted, in 2005, she auditioned for American Idol in 2007 and made it to the Top 7 contestants. Though she didn't win the talent competition, Cook managed to attract a sizable following on the subsequent American Idol tour before dropping her next LP, Why Wait, with Arista Nashville in 2008.
