Donald Cumming is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who is best-known as the founder and front man of New York City's post punk outfit The Virgins. After recruiting a band, he rose to attention in the city's crowded music scene with the release of The Virgins's self-titled LP in 2008. The album sparked several world tours, leading the band to share stages with several music legends such as The Stooges, Patti Smith and Lou Reed, but despite this early success, the group dissolved by 2013. Along with the announcement of The Virgins's breakup, Cumming announced his debut solo album and has since been honing his own indie post punk style.
