About
Educated in the rich folk tradition that colors his hometown of St. Martinville, Louisiana, Nathan Williams is a Creole-speaking Zydeco accordionist and vocalist who rose to recognition after his first performance at the 1988 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. He released his debut album Steady Rock, 1989, and soon formed his own band, the Zydeco Cha-Chas, with which he continues to perform.
