Though the Sour Mash Hug Band emerged out of Eugene, Oregon as a classic old-time folk band, the group soon made its way across the country to New Orleans, where it developed the its signature, dance-friendly amalgam of vintage folk and swing music. Led by Micky Lee, the Sour Mash Hug Band is composed of four multi-instrumentalists and various collaborators who often rotate instruments to keep its live shows fresh.
