The Jackals is the rock and roll project of Carl Barât, who is best-known as the former co-frontman of The Libertines and the creator of Dirty Pretty Things. After recruiting a backing band via Facebook, he announced the project in early 2014 along with the September release of the The Jackals's first album, which marks Barât's return to recorded form since the release of his self-titled debut LP in 2010.
