Based in the city of Campinas, São Paulo, is the football team Associação Atlética Ponte Preta which plays in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B and in the Campeonato Paulista - São Paulo’s top football league. It is popularly known as Ponte Preta and it plays its home games at Estádio Moisés Lucarelli. It was founded in 1900, which makes it the second oldest team in the country, the first being Sport Club Rio Grande. Its career is illustrated with numerous memorable performances and achievements like winning the Copa São Paulo de Juniores and the Campeonato Paulista Série A2.
