The Manic Shine is a London-based band that blends a number of varied styles including alt rock, synthpop and metal to create a distinctive sonic amalgam. Though some might think blending these diverse genres would result in a musical faux pas, The Manic Shine somehow manages to pull it off and build cohesively listenable songs. After forming in 2010, the group spent the first few years after its inception playing small clubs--refining its sound and songwriting approach--before ultimately entering the studio to record its 2013 debut LP.
