One of the most influential reggae acts to emerge out of Costa Rica, Ojo de Buey is a Latin-flavored reggae band with a rich, soulful blend of sounds that includes various styles, from rock and roll to salsa and electronic music. Founded in 2007, the band quickly garnered a regional fan base with its intimate live performances before releasing its debut LP, Sabor en un tiempo cruel, in 2011. Recorded and mastered in Los Angeles, the album found itself in the right hands and catapulted Ojo de Buey onto the international world music scene.
