With a sound it describes as bipolar folk, Kera and the Lesbians crafts a fusion of R&B, indie rock and folk that's powered by the vocal stylings of Kera Armendariz. Switching between powerful wails and raspy croons, she lends her four-piece, all-male band much of its soul while the group anchors it in garage rock. Kera and the Lesbians released its debut EP, Year 23, on Lolipop Records in 2014.
