Michael Buchanan, who performs and releases music under his House Shoes moniker, is a Los Angeles-based hip-hop producer and DJ. After making a name for himself on the Detroit club scene, serving as resident DJ at the hip-hop clubbing staple St. Andrews Hall from 1994 to 2004, Buchanan went on to serve as a touring DJ to prominent musicians like Aloe Blacc and Guilty Simpson. Having since gone on to distinguish himself as a producer, Buchanan still performs solo DJ sets and releases music under his House Shoes guise.
