Emerging from the rural town of Jonesborough, Tennessee like the first land animal to emerge from the cosmic cesspool, The Barefoot Movement is a folk band that believes in the importance of music and its effects on certain demographics of society. Formed in 2009, the band went on to refine its characteristic Americana sound during its formative years before entering the studio to record its 2011 debut album, Footwork.
