The Coal Town Rounders makes a distinctive style of bluegrass that's ideal listening material for a drive through the Appalachian Mountains in an old, beat up truck on the latter end of a hot, dog day of summer. Founded in 2009 and based out of Scranton, Pennsylvania, the group crafts a distinctive sound that straddles the gamut between throw back, traditional string band material and more modern, newgrass styles.
