Washboard Radio is a New Orleans-based band that bridges the gap between Crescent City jazz material and distinctive country offerings to create a style of music that's been referred to as "cowboy jazz." Founded in 2005 and lead by chief vocalist and washboardist Johnnie Chaz, the band can frequently be found in many of the small clubs and music cafes that inhabit New Orleans' infested cultural landscape.
