Based in Philadelphia, The Downtown Club is a post punk trio that was formed in 2010 by vocalist and guitarist April Harkanson, bassist Travis Regan and drummer Dan Welsh. With swirling synthesizers, humming guitars and operatic vocals, the group captured a dark, ethereal sound on its eponymous debut EP in 2012.
