About
Blending theatre, film and music into one project, PigPen Theatre Co. is a Pittsburgh-based collective that was founded in 2008, when its members were still students at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. After earning critical acclaim at New York City's Fringe Festival for stage productions in both 2010 and 2011, the group released its debut studio album Bremen, in 2012, capturing an earnest, modern folk sound. In addition to recording and performing music, PigPen Theatre Co. continues to produce original plays off-Broadway and create its own short films.
