Preoccupations is a post punk outfit from Calgary, Canada that uses bits of noise, punk, art-rock and psychedelia to craft its own distinctive style. After forming in 2012 and taking its time to cultivate its textured sound, the band released its self-titled debut album with Jagjaguwar and Flemish Eye records in 2015. The band changed its names from Viet Cong to Preoccupations in 2016.
